Well here it is our first project. This is a 1995 Mustang GT which age has gotten the better of, at least in terms of the body and the interior. The engine is in fare shape, but the car has been sitting around mostly and has only been cranked about once a month for the last few years.

Our plan is to take this car strip down the bad parts an slowly build it back up and transform this car into a nice backyard racing machine. The car has a foul odor to it on the inside which means we are going to need to remove the interior carpet, seats, carpet padding, and so forth. The drivers seat is not only torn pretty bad but the the rails which attach it to the frame are broken and the seat rocks around. The doors got left cracked open more than once and either the carpet has gotten wet or a cat has marked its territory, in either case the interior is not worth trying to save.

The car has also been wrecked so the air bags are already out of the car and the front end has a little damage but not so bad that it effects the handling or alignment of the car. The clear coat is coming off the car and in some spots has already come off so it will need a paint job at some point.

The rotors have rusted over so that will need fixing as well.

Over all this car is not in too bad of shape when talking about making a backyard racing machine out it.

To get things started I guess we will need to get rid of the bad stuff and assess what is need from there. Change the oil, battery, and give the car a bath. I'll get started with the listed changes and when I get the car striped of the bad stuff stuff I'll take some more pictures and maybe even try get some vidoe footage up as well.

Since this is our first project and we are still new at this pictures will be our primary means of relaying the work done. As our budget begins to rise either through donations or through our sponsors (We currently have none.) We will get more involved in the process with more frequent updates and more in depth videos. Remember this is not a how to we are just documenting what we do and the results of what we did. Hopefully you can get some ideas for your backyard racing machine as well.

Enjoy and Have a Good'n!
